- Knowledge, truth, and the fallibile nature of knowledge (deals with the issue of relativity).
- Science, scientific method and intersubjectivity
Theology as science
- Talk about God.
- Based on observations.
- Based of God’s self-revelation in His Son.
- Founded on Bible – on exegesis, historical method controvercy etc.
- Extrabiblical revelation (nature etc.)
II Father
- The name of God. God is one, trinity.
- Creator, transcendence, relationship with creation,
- Issue of determinism & free will.
- The ultimate purpose of this all and the grand plan (takes us to the next point).
III Son
- Incarnation, two natures of Son.
- Imago dei, nature of man, sin & sins.
- Old & new & covenants.
- Cross & resurrection – two angles to salvation.
- Final judgement (universal atonement, not universal salvation)
- The issue of theodicy.
IV Holy Spirit
- Baptism & Communion
- Body of Christ, autonomy, organisation, offices etc.
Normal Christian life:
- Bible & prayer, sharing
- Flesh & Spirit etc.
